Charlotte Family Housing
Charlotte Family Housing (CFH) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping working families experiencing homelessness achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency through its carefully designed shelter-to-housing programs. CFH was formed in 2011 by merging three local agencies — Charlotte Emergency Housing, Family Promise of Charlotte, and W.I.S.H. — to better serve families in need.

Roof Above
Roof Above is a leading nonprofit organization in Charlotte focused on ending homelessness and providing housing solutions through a full spectrum of services from street outreach to permanent supportive housing. Formed in 2019 through the merger of the Urban Ministry Center and Men’s Shelter of Charlotte, the organization was rebranded as Roof Above to reflect its goal of ensuring everyone in the community has a roof to call their own.

Safe Alliance
Safe Alliance is a major nonprofit based in Charlotte that is dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault across the region. Their mission is to provide hope and healing through a range of survivor-centered services.

The Harvest Center of Charlotte is a faith-based nonprofit founded in the early 1980s initially as a soup kitchen and is now focused on long-term transformation for people facing situational homelessness. The organization’s mission is to empower individuals affected by homelessness, poverty and unemployment through transformative support, anchored in Christian ministry while welcoming all faith backgrounds.
Samaritan House
Samaritan House is a nonprofit organization in Charlotte providing free short-term medical respite care for individuals experiencing homelessness or unstable housing who have recently been hospitalized and have nowhere else to recover. The organization was founded in 2005 by advocates who recognized that individuals discharged from hospitals with no safe place to recuperate were at high risk without additional support.
